Webcomics are exactly what they sound like, they are comics produced digitally and hosted online. Many independent creators make webcomics because it can be easier to find an online audience than a traditional publisher. There is also a disproportion amount of creators of color, or part of the LGBTQIA+ community, these creators are less likely to be picked up by traditional publishers.
