Schwartz Center Rounds is a forum where all Allina staff can come together to discuss the social and emotional aspect of working in healthcare. The intention is to make space for reflection on the challenges and rewards of caring for patients, with a goal of fostering empathy for self and others.
Evidence shows that healthcare staff who attend Schwartz Center Rounds feel less stressed and isolated, while gaining appreciation for one another’s roles.[1] By leveling hierarchies within teams, Schwartz Center rounds helps to focus attention on the relational aspects of care.
